Forms of buprenorphine

Buprenorphine is available in both generic and commercial forms. Commonly prescribed forms combine buprenorphine with naloxone, which was added to  prevent misuse of buprenorphine.

  • Generic buprenorphine/naloxone sublingual tablets
  • Subutex: buprenorphine sublingual tablets
  • Suboxone®: buprenorphine/naloxone sublingual tablets
  • Zubsolv®: buprenorphine/naloxone sublingual tablets
  • Bunavil®: buprenorphine/naloxone buccal film
  • Probuphine: buprenorphine implants
  • Sublocade®: buprenorphine extended-release injection
